The Merch Collective, a boutique music merchandising company representing top Artists in touring, eCommerce, and retail channels, has an immediate opening for an eCommerce Account Manager.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an eCommerce Account Manager who combines analytical acumen with a creative mindset and a deep passion for digital commerce within the music industry. Reporting directly to the Director of eCommerce, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise and enthusiasm for eCommerce and Music Merchandise to elevate online sales performance and marketing campaigns for a diverse roster of artists. You will play a pivotal role in driving client success within a rapidly growing department.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Craft and execute innovative eCommerce strategies tailored to artist goals and objectives.
  • Keep up to date on market trends, customer behavior, and competition to both understand and seize growth opportunities.
  • Develop roadmap for store optimization and marketing initiatives across assigned client stores.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to develop quarterly and yearly calendars of initiatives and product releases including but not limited to: Product Releases, Album Releases, Promotions, and Client Anniversaries.
  • Act as the internal representative for all eCommerce matters related to assigned accounts.

Fan-Centric Approach:

  • Have a deep understanding of fan trends within the music industry, specifically to assigned clients. 
  • Champion efforts to elevate the online shopping experience for fans.
  • Fine-tune client store and marketing strategies to drive engagement, conversions, retention and loyalty.
  • Partner closely with Customer Service to identify avenues for enhancing our client storefronts and overall fan experience.

eCommerce Management:

  • Develop, oversee, and merchandise all assigned client stores.
  • Design and develop clients Shopify stores to align with client campaigns and provide the best possible fan experience.
  • Design and develop images / graphics for products, bundles, banners, marketing graphics, etc.
  • Develop and execute client marketing campaigns across a variety of channels including email, SMS, Spotify, YouTube, etc.
  • Ensure all practices adhere to industry regulations and standards, including Luminate, Accessibility, Privacy, Cookies, and GDPR.
  • Track and analyze store KPIs to identify areas for improvement and to gauge the overall health of client eCommerce activity.
  • Monitor inventory levels of assigned client stores and reorder stock as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with 3PL partners to guarantee the highest quality order fulfillment for fans, including but not limited to, customer service, receiving, shipping, and upcoming projects.
  • Coordinate comp orders and merchandise pulls from 3PL partner warehouses, as needed.
  • Review and audit monthly warehouse reports to ensure accurate client billings, current inventory status, and identify opportunities to move, donate, or dispose of excess or stale inventory.

Reporting and Account Health:

  • Deliver weekly sales reports to Executive Leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop year end reports on account health for assigned clients.
  • Funnel all client information into and out of the company promptly, clearly, completely, and accurately.
  • Identify and address issues or delays swiftly, collaborating with internal teams to resolve in a timely manner.

Client Relations:

  • Forge strong relationships with artist teams, serving as their go-to expert for eCommerce and Marketing.
  • Collaborate with clients to devise tailored eCommerce and Marketing strategies aligned with their artist goals.
  • Keep clients in the loop with regular updates and reports on store/campaign performance, offering insights for optimization and increased performance.
  • Address client concerns promptly and effectively to ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Shopify expertise required.
  • Deadline-driven with an eagle eye for detail.
  • Data driven decision making.
  • Proactive self-starter with stellar communication and collaboration skills.
  • Solid grasp of eCommerce processes, logistics, and customer experience, particularly in the music industry.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing best practices.
  • Proficiency in design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or Canva.
  • Experience with email and SMS marketing.
  • Experience with ShipHero is a plus.
  • Experience with Artist PreOrder campaigns and their rules, processes and requirements.
  • Passion for music and a deep understanding of music merchandise.
  • Based in Nashville, TN.
