JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan raw material supply and assist Senior Planners with production orders to support On Time Customer Order Delivery. Initiate purchase orders for raw materials as necessary following company inventory policy. Monitor material delivery and order completion to meet customer requested ship dates. Provide timely feedback to Production, Customer Service, QC, Purchasing and Logistics. Maintain accurate data within ERP system. Responsible for raw material inventory levels based on company guidelines.
1. Review MRP requirements daily.
2. Place purchase orders for raw materials in a timely manner following inventory policy guidelines. Ensure materials arrive on time to meet customer needs.
3. Track and monitor raw material orders. Seek alternate sources (flavor and sample labs) where applicable.
4. Work within the “days on hand inventory” policy. Maintain data integrity within ERP system in order to provide timely and accurate information.
5. Track progress of production orders. Advise Customer Service of anticipated issues that might delay an order and provide options if possible. Follow up as necessary.
6. Become proficient in planning Liquid Compounds and assist Senior Planner.
7. Assist the Senior Planners with production orders based on customer orders, forecasted demands, optimal batch sizes and agreed upon stock inventory levels as needed.
1. High school diploma/GED required.
2. Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
3. 2 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a related position a plus.
4. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.
5. Excellent PC skills, including the ability to perform data analysis in excel.
6. Strong analytical and problem solving sills.
7. Demonstrates teamwork and a customer-focused attitude.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills.
9. Must be self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
