Client Service Specialist Role Description:

The Client Service Specialist is part of our firm’s Middle Office Team and reports to the Head of Talent. The primary responsibilities for this role will be assisting our Advisor Teams manage the subscription process for our clients’ alternative investments and manage the account opening process with different financial institutions. The Client Service Specialist will be the lead for all AML & KYC related matters, will maintain clients’ KYC information up-to-date and organized, and will help our Advisor Teams manage the process of covering capital calls as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage clients hedge fund and priCvate equity subscriptions and redemption requests, KYC requirements, capital calls and distributions
  • Prepare letters of direction (LOD) for review and client’s signature
  • Manage process for implementing LODs, if requested
  • Manage account opening process for clients with varied financial institutions, including KYC Process
  • Obtain monthly statements from client’s custodians and other information as needed or requested by the Advisor Team
  • Manage the onboarding process of client accounts to Addepar

PREFERRED GENERAL SKILLS:

  • Be detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and a habit of follow-up on tasks until completed
  • First-class customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize
  • Display initiative, the ability to work independently, and ownership of one’s work
  • Have a positive attitude and the ability to work under tight deadlines

Recommended Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services industry, preferably in a client service or middle office role
