· Perform garden/farm duties such as (but not limited to) seed starting, planting, hand watering, irrigation, bed preparation, plowing, tilling, compost management, fertilization, harvesting, washing of produce, and tracking and recording produce harvest weights.

· Duties will include the use and operation of various equipment such as tractors, walk-behind tractors, various PTO driven implements, mowers, string trimmers, sprayers, flame weeder, as well as hand tools.

· Assist in operation of on-site markets/farm stands and fulfilling of online produce orders. This includes providing excellent customer service while taking card payments for goods.

· Assist with Wimberly’s Roots’ farmers market booth in downtown Winder, GA on Saturdays during market season (April-November).

· Engage with and coordinate volunteers during volunteer days and special volunteer events.

· Assist elementary to middle school age students attending Wimberly’s Roots after school classes, summer camp, and special events as needed.

· Keep a clean and organized tool/storage area and produce cooler.

· Perform additional public outreach duties such as leading Community Farm tours and assisting with community events as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
