Job Description:

Life Skills Coach/Resources Coordinator

The Life Coach & Resource Coordinator assists the Family Foundations Team and individuals we serve with community resources and referrals. To help individuals achieve financial goals and assist them with behavior modification, monitoring goal achievement and coordinating access to critical resources including but not limited to housing and employment. Demonstrate techniques to increase participation through building rapport with clients and client relationships while providing encouragement and motivation. Teach and train life skills utilizing life coaching fundamentals to increase knowledge and improve personal and financial growth within the Financial Wellness Program. Have the ability to evaluate client’s strengths, and weaknesses and address any problems hindering self-sufficiency while bridging the gap in services. Assist Program Manager with expanding awareness about Family Foundations, improving and building partnerships within the community increasing referrals and opportunities.

Work Activities Included:

  • Coaching and Developing Others — Assessing the basic needs of others and improving their knowledge and/or skills through life coaching and mentoring.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.
  • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work — Develop specific goals, plan, prioritize, organize, and accomplish work tasks and responsibilities.
  • Developing and Building Relationships within the organization and Community — Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation amongst team members and community partners.

Program Responsibilities:

· Host Community Financial Education Workshops and Events

· Host Financial Football

· Host Community Meetings on behalf of both financial and mental health teams

· Facilitate Money Habitudes and Financial Goal workshops ONLY

· Responsible for scheduling Keys to Homeownership Home Buyer Club Orientation workshops

· Responsible for maintaining and updating the workshop calendar on TEAMS

· Schedule initial life coaching assessments and meet with clients

· Schedule and follow up with clients for ongoing 1 on 1 monthly and / or quarterly LC sessions

· Complete CFPB and Arizona Matrix assessments and tracking as described in PSG grant

· Refer clients to admin staff through e-mail for 1 on 1 financial counseling sessions and follow up with admin staff to ensure client has been scheduled in DMS and Outlook to complete PSG responsibilities

· Follow up with clients receiving only financial, pre-purchase and home buyer education regarding action plans and work with financial counselors to ensure clients are accomplishing their goals

· Responsible for tracking workshop series participation for Keys to Home Ownership Clients to ensure clients completed all four workshops. If workshops are missed responsible for contacting and rescheduling clients to assist with completion and successful outcomes.

· Work closely with admin staff and financial counselors to assist with client workflow, retention, and action planning per PSG grant.

· Coordinate two semi-annual award ceremonies/home buyer resource and informational events.

· As resource coordinator connect both mental health and financial wellness clients to community resources

· Assist Financial Wellness Program Manager with building community partner relationships

· Attend all Community Partner meetings and Resource Events

· Assist with posting about financial wellness on all social media platforms

Job Requirements:

Education

Requires a two-year degree and Life Coaching Certification

Related Experience

At least three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,037.78 - $43,000.00 per year
