Role Overview

As the Director of Engineering at Taazaa, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our technical vision, driving innovation, and leading our talented engineering teams. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

• Define and communicate the technical roadmap, aligning it with business objectives.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalability and efficiency.

Team Building and Management:

• Build and nurture cohesive engineering teams.
• Pair with the team to team to code and grow them

Strategic Planning and Execution:

• Develop and execute high-level strategies for product development.
• Set clear objectives, track progress, and measure results.

Project and Program Management:

• Manage complex projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and product managers.
• Mitigate risks and address challenges proactively.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Collaborate with executives, product managers, and clients.
• Influence decision-making and negotiate priorities.
• Provide regular updates on project status and technical initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains.
• Encourage innovation and experimentation within the engineering teams.
• Drive best practices and maintain high standards of code quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (8 years) in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical background, including familiarity with modern tech stacks.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for driving innovation and delivering impactful solutions.
