SAGINAW COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE is Hiring an Administrative Coordinator Near Saginaw, MI

Communicates with staff, management and Board on behalf of Executive Director. Maintains working relationships with outside media groups for public relations matters. Keeps official agency records and executes administrative policies determined by or in conjunction with other officials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arranges programs, events, or conferences by arranging for facilities and caterer, issuing information or invitations, coordinating speakers, and controlling event budget.
  • Prepares records such as agenda, notices, minutes, and resolutions for corporate meetings.
  • Manage social media (such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter/X) and maintain and update the website as needed.
  • Arrange complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries, compile documents for travel-related meetings and accompany supervisor when requested.
  • Creates agency publications including newsletters, success stories, and annual reports.
  • Disseminate information to staff and board members.
  • Train staff in emergency evacuation procedures.
  • Acts as custodian of corporate documents and records.
  • Takes and transcribe dictation, and composes and prepares confidential correspondence, minutes, reports, and other complex documents.
  • Participates in agency functions, as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirement

  • Ability to work well with diverse individuals of all levels and able to communicate directly with them
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to perform all duties in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner
  • Must have exceptional writing and verbal skills.
  • Must be able to pass physical/drug and TB screenings as mandated by the agency
  • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects promptly.
  • Must sign a confidentiality Statement and/or Non-Disclosure Agreement due to the sensitivity of the work.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field with proven experience as a Communication Specialist.

Certificates/Licenses:

  • Must have reliable insured transportation and a valid Michigan driver’s license

Physical Demands:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Work Location: In person
