Encore Electronics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom electro-mechanical assemblies, is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager for our Saratoga Springs, NY office.

As a Purchasing Manager, you will work to source goods and equipment, while managing vendors, in order to ensure a cost-effective and high-quality procurement strategy. By working closely with the Technical Sales and Engineering teams, you will contribute to the overall success of the company’s purchasing operations. Shipping, receiving and all inventory control are the additional duties required.

Responsibilities:

· Review and process purchase orders

· Maintain records of goods ordered and received

· Build and maintain relationships with vendors

· Select prospective vendors

· Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness and price

· Schedule deliveries and ensure timely fulfillment of orders

· Ensure quality of procured items and address problems as they arise

· Responsible for packaging and initiating shipment of all goods

· Receive and check for quality of all incoming material

· Kit and inventory all material

Required skills:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· A solid background in purchasing of electronic goods and services

· Well organized

· Strategic sourcing

· Some experience with the packaging of product

· Experience with 3rd party logistics (UPS, FedEx, etc.)

· Familiar with SOS Inventory and QuickBooks a plus
