Provide vaccinations in the community as well as at the health center.
Be familiar with vaccination pop-up set-up and the types of vaccines that will be given, how they are administered, stored, and documented in the EMR.
Provide support to the patient being vaccinated by answering questions and showing empathy and compassion.
Report to Team leader of the vaccination event with the expectation to be at the event until the team has packed up and left the vaccine event location cleaner than when the team arrived.
Ensure that all of the vaccination supplies are sufficient and make note of any supplies to restock before the next pop-up event.
Be available evenings and Saturdays to attend vaccination pop-up events
Complete all required in-service trainings and competency trainings
Any other related functions to the above
Agree to and abide by the Guiding Principles and Mission Statement for the health center.
Qualifications
1. RN Licensure in the state of New York
2. CPR Certification, minimum BLS.
3. Minimum 1 year experience in outpatient primary care setting or vaccination pop-up events
4. Bilingual in non-English language desired, either French or Spanish
5. Strong leadership qualities.
6. Strong teamwork abilities.
7. Able to strongly personify the mission of BCCHC.
