Crossroads Conference Center is a 7,200 sq. ft. full-service event venue. Conveniently located in Southwest Grand Rapids right at the M-6 and US-131 business exchange. Crossroads hosts all types of events from wedding ceremonies & receptions, corporate meetings & training, conferences, tradeshows, fundraisers, gala’s, holiday & birthday parties to religious ceremonies & receptions. Crossroads has an immediate opening for an Event Sales Coordinator.
Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Event Sales Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events to ensure successful outcomes.
Duties:
- Hospitality & customer service is number one!
- Answer event inquires as they come in through various lead programs including telephone calls, email, and wedding lead websites
- Acquire new clients through networking events, marketing campaigns, and social media as well as event inquiry follow ups
- Show potential clients the venue and present them with catering options along with experience enhancements
- Create proposals, diagrams, and timelines for events
- Execute contracts, deposits, and final payments
- Conduct final detail meetings with clients
-Act as Venue host on day of event
- Collaborate with the catering sales coordinators on menus and event details
- Ensure venue is set to client’s expectations
- Work with outside vendors before, during, and after events
- Assist Venue Manager with maintaining accurate equipment/supplies inventory and forecast future needs
- Ensure event is executed smoothly and resolve any problems that might occur

- Ability to interact with clients and guests in a professional manner
- Ability to deal effectively with deadlines and pressures
- Ability to work a varying schedule based on event calendar
-Proven experience as an event coordinator or similar role is a plus
