We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe for a busy Endocrinologist office to join our healthcare team in Miami, Florida. The Medical Scribe will work closely with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters. This role is crucial in maintaining organized and comprehensive medical records and facilitating efficient patient care. As a Medical Scribe, you will play a vital role in the healthcare delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document patient medical histories, physical examinations, procedures, and treatment plans as dictated by healthcare providers.
• Data Entry: Enter patient information into the electronic health records (EHR) system with precision and in compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations.
• Assist with Examinations: Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits and assist with various medical procedures as needed.
• Transcription: Transcribe medical notes and dictations, ensuring all information is correctly recorded.
• Maintain EHR Integrity: Monitor and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of medical records, adhering to HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
• Communicate: Relay information between healthcare providers and patients, ensuring clarity and accuracy
• Assist with Administrative Tasks: Support the healthcare team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals.
• Compliance: Stay updated on and comply with all healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in a related field is a plus).
• Prior experience as a Medical Scribe or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to learn quickly.
• Excellent typing and data entry skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Basic understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
• Thrives in a fast paced environment.
• Ocassional cross coverage at another location may apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
