D & D Mechanical, Inc. is Hiring a Business Development Manager Near Richmond, VA

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be at the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Account and Customer Relationship Management

  • Cultivate current customer relations and develop new customer relations
  • Identify opportunities to increase value to customers

· Arrange business meetings with prospective clients

· Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

· Revenue generation within assigned geographical territory

· Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives

  • Identify relevant trends and market opportunities to create marketing materials to support outreach efforts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, lead generation and cold outreach.
  • Research and follow-up on potential projects and sales leads
  • Define strategy and approach for development of major opportunities
  • Work closely with project management team for bid and closing opportunities
  • Participate at trade shows, conferences and local professional associations events
  • Weekly update of CRM (customer relationship management which is the combination of practices, strategies, and technologies to manage and analyze customer interactions and data throughout the customer lifecycle. The goal is to improve customer service relationships and assist with customer retention and drive sales growth) with notes of visits and client and project updates.

Education & Experience:

  • 3 years of sales / business development experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree preferred in Business, Marketing or Communications
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging presentations and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to and ability to travel to meet client and business development activities
  • Construction industry knowledge is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated success with social media and online marketing development, content creation and growth
