The Providence School of Music, the largest music school in Providence, RI with over 550 students, is seeking a qualified piano/voice instructor to teach on Saturdays. However, if your primary instrument is piano and you solely teach piano we would be like to hear from you.
We do all the advertising, scheduling, student/family communication, administration and billing for you. We know you want to focus on teaching--not all the admin. We do the boring part--so you can focus on what you love: teaching music! Our school has full-time office staff dedicated to working the desk, phone/text, and email, all to make our teachers lives easier.
Our instructors paid for all of the students on your schedule regardless of if the student shows up for their lesson. You also do not teach any private make-up lessons if a student misses, regardless of how much notice they give us. No more teaching private one-on-one make-ups with 24 hours notice!
Ideal Candidate:
- Background and/or degree in music education
- Ability to teach both piano and drums
- If you only teach piano, we are still very interested in hearing from you!
Qualifications:
- A college degree in music is strongly encouraged but not required
- Many of our best teachers are performers with 10 years of experience
- Excellent with children and possess outgoing personalities
If you are a dedicated musician looking for steady work and have a passion for teaching, we would love to hear from you!
To apply, please send your resume and an email telling us why you'd be a good fit for our school, along with your teaching and performance experience.
We are also seeking substitute teachers, so this could also be a great fit for someone seeking sporadic teaching opportunities.
