Job Description: Marketing and Admin Assistant

Company Overview

UplinkSpyder is a small, innovative website design and marketing company dedicated to delivering exceptional website, SEO, marketing, and design solutions for our diverse range of clients. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, creativity, and client satisfaction. Based in Eugene, OR, our team includes approximately 10 staff members, some of whom work remotely while others are in the office. This full-time, non-exempt position requires in-office presence. We offer a four-day workweek with negotiable hours, typically from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional hours on Fridays or weekends.

Position Summary

UplinkSpyder is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing and Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our marketing efforts and ensuring efficient office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Support

  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Curate visual content, develop engaging copy, schedule content across social media channels, and manage social media interactions.
  • Monitor social media analytics to track the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and tools.

Marketing Support

  • Assist in creating email marketing pieces.
  • Update websites and collaborate with clients as needed.
  • Engage in keyword and competitive research.
  • Write web pages, blogs, ad copy, etc.

Administrative Support

  • Answer phones and direct calls.
  • Greet and assist office visitors.
  • Perform office supply runs as needed.
  • Conduct intake interviews with prospective clients.
  • Provide additional assistance to the marketing manager and CEO as needed.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct periodic quality checks on client websites.
  • Identify and facilitate necessary updates to ensure all website content is current and accurate.
  • Proofread content.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with social media management or digital marketing for a business.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools, Canva, email marketing programs, and Google Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of website maintenance and design is a plus.
