Our Union Gap, WA office, which specializes in selling and supporting our controlled atmosphere equipment including PSA Nitrogen Generators, Carbon Dioxide Smart Scrubbers, SafePodsTM, secondary refrigeration equipment, and Controlled Atmosphere control systems is currently seeking an experienced Service Technician – Level I.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Deliver, install, calibrate, pickup, test, maintain, refurbish CA Equipment. Primary duties will be focused on our patented SafePodTM technology
  • Start-up and commission SafePodTM, and CA Equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, and repair a wide variety of SafePodTM and Controlled Atmosphere equipment/systems.
  • Remote management and oversight of SafePodTM customer dashboard.
  • Report SafePodTM data anomalies to Director of Technology.
  • Maintain and calibrate our Controlled Atmosphere equipment, specializing in Carbon Dioxide Smart Scrubbers and PSA Nitrogen Generators for optimal performance, longevity, and reliability.
  • Provide customer support during lease period.
  • Responsible for shop cleanliness and organization
  • Additional responsibilities are to gain knowledge with other SCS equipment for potential responsibility expansion.
  • Ensure all SCS policies and procedures are followed by department staff with an emphasis on safety both at SCS and customer locations.
  • Ensure that team collaboration, quality and customer satisfaction are prioritized with all decisions
  • Ensure that SCS’ name and reputation is in good standing with customers, vendors, associates and subcontractors
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Scope

  • Focus is on independently achieving general objectives in support of an assigned project.
  • Works independently on varied assignments requiring a broad and/or specialized knowledge of Controlled Atmoshere equipment.
  • Decision making is guided by applying standard procedures, may make modifications of procedures or use methods developed in previous assignments.

Contacts

  • Need to create and maintain a high level of collaboration with internal team members, contractors, vendors and customers.
  • Required to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical staff.
  • Need to maintain a high level of communication with both internal and external stakeholders, customers, contractors, and industry peers.

Working Conditions

  • Need to have experience working in highly sensitive or mission critical facilities.
  • Must possess valid passport/ID.
  • Travel to field worksite locations
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical ability.
  • Basic knowledge of operating principles of various types of Controlled Atmosphere equipment and systems
  • Basic knowledge of electricity and electrical and solid-state control systems
  • Knowledge of safety practices and building codes
  • Customer service skills
  • Start up and commissioning responsibilities at customers’ facilities.
  • Ability to maintain required records and prepare reports.
  • Aptitude and communications skills related to acting independently.
  • Proven planning, organizational, problem solving, decision–making, supplemented with a practical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift 60lbs and use ladders working from heights.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and good standing driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate and maneuver a vehicle with a trailer.

Additional Comments

  • Willingness to travel to customer locations (mostly local and regional but may have limited international).
  • Our industry’s busy season is from late summer through fall harvest season. During this time availability is key. PTO requests during this period may be more restrictive.

Job Type: Full-time

Hourly Pay: Ranging from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, based on experience.
