The Division of Disaster Recovery and Mitigation (DRM) is seeking a motivated and experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the planning and development of its software system to support the division’s business process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the end-to-end software development cycle to ensure on-time delivery of projects
  • Develop and maintain the project schedule and any changes to the scope
  • Assist in definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring alignment and technical feasibility
  • Identifies opportunities to improve business process through IT solutions
  • Establish KPI and other reporting metrics to present to management.
  • Successfully manage the relationship with stakeholders and communicates effectively to management and team members.
  • Drives the management, mitigation and resolution of project related issues, risks and conflicts.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years IT Project Management Experience.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project), and office products (MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and across all levels of management.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict management skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Planning and organizing, decision-making.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

PMP (Project Manager) Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
