The Bridge Assisted Living, professionally managed by Ohana Ventures, is a premier senior living community that is seeking an experienced Dietary Aide that would be under the direction of the Food Services Director. This position is responsible for quality-of-service delivery during meal service and for compliance with special diets offered by the community. The Dietary Aide is responsible for communicating with the community on all appropriate matters.

Essential Functions
Able to follow communicated planning, directing, controlling, and coaching. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, strong personnel skills, and positive community relations skills to be successful.
Must be self-motivated and can work independently and make decisions.

Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Customer Service
Taking beverage and food orders, delivers food, clears, cleans, sanitizes and resets tables.
Station assignments that would perform assigned side work that may include but is not limited to: doing dishes, re-setting the dining room, cleaning and restocking the galley, cleaning chairs or table bases, vacuuming floors, folding napkins, dishing salads and dressings, preparing snacks, etc.

Reports to the Dining Room Manager/Dietary Manager
Education & Licensing
Required…….High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
Preferred…….Previous food service or other customer service-related fields
Working Conditions
Professional dining room environment. Uses basic equipment in the kitchen such as toasters, juice machines, coffee makers, etc. Verbally able to articulate in person and over the phone. Meeting minimum attendance requirements.
The Dietary Aide encounters stressful conditions dealing with residents, employees, and business activities. Also must be able to work well under pressure, to resolve conflicts, to prioritize tasks, and follow through with ideas. Excellent verbal and written skills, interpersonal and mediation skills, ability to evaluate workers' performance, strong working knowledge of employment laws and company regulations. Must be able to work evenings and weekends and maintain a flexible work schedule.
Physical Requirements
Sitting, walking, bending, data entry, reading, written and verbal communication, and lifting to 50 pounds. Standing for prolonged periods of time while serving food.'
