Responsibility:
Coordinates and administers the purchasing process of spare parts to ensure the uninterrupted
flow of parts associated with maintenance, repair, and operations.
Tasks:
• Places purchase orders according to usage and reorder points.
• Researches to find the most competitive price.
• Obtains and verifies supplier order confirmations.
• Ensures supplier conformance with requested shipping dates and terms.
• Coordinates with the finance department to accuracy of invoices, etc.
• Coordinates purchasing schedules with the planning of preventive maintenance or
planned shutdowns.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Education / skills / experience:
• Associate's degree in industrial management, logistics, operations management,
preferred.
• Knowledge of contemporary supply chain management methods.
• Knowledge of purchasing contract law.
• Minimum of 2 years directly related experience.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of Microsoft
Word, Excel, Power Point, Accounting Software and Database software.
