General Description / Language to Use for Job Postings:

The Product Engineer will support existing products and develop new products for Skytech Products Group. The Product Engineer will work closely with sales, manufacturing and quality to ensure our products meet customer expectations and conform to industry standards.

Reports to: Quality Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

Current Product Management

· Product Improvements

· Change Management

New Product Development

· Concept Development

· Proof-of-Concept

· Specification Writing

· Prototype Creation/Evaluation

· Agency Compliance (CSA, FCC/IC, UL)

· Final Product Validation

· Production Readiness

· Assist in development of Test Procedures

Tech Service Support

· Advanced Consumer and OEM troubleshooting

Sales Support

· Application Engineering

· Custom Product Development

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

· B.S. in EE, EET, or CS

Minimum Previous Experience:

· Two years of experience with electronics including microprocessors

Minimum Additional Training:

· Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering topics

· Basic knowledge of engineering software and systems

Other Preferred Skills and Competencies:

· Technical Committee participation

· Ability/willingness to work with combustible gasses

· Able to understand and clearly communicate various technical topics in multiple ways depending on the audience (management, engineers, salespersons, lawyers, consumers, suppliers domestic and international).
