Ready Coffee is in the early stage of expanding its store base. This expansion is currently centered in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Job description

We are seeking a Maintenance & Service Technician in our Hudson Valley, NY region. This position will report to the VP of Operations.

The Maintenance & Service Technician is responsible for the preventative maintenance and ongoing servicing of all essential equipment and upkeep of physical store premises. This position will also be responsible for maintaining parts and equipment inventory, including purchasing necessary items, to successfully support all maintenance functions of the stores and equipment. Services and maintenance will be conducted on site in the stores or at the company shop. This individual will work closely with the management team to ensure all equipment and facilities are serviced properly.

The ideal candidate has proficiency with tools, basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration. This candidate will ideally, but not necessarily, have experience with coffee equipment such as coffee grinders, espresso machines, coffee brewers, frozen drink machines, and ice machines. This individual will also have flexibility with their schedule to perform services in the early morning or late evenings.

This person desires to grow in this position as the number of the Company stores increases.

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities

• Perform and document preventative maintenance and service of espresso machines, coffee grinders, ice machines, drink machines, and other store equipment.
• Respond on-site to service calls and perform remote troubleshooting with store employees when necessary.
• Install new equipment.
• Perform or arrange service of company store physical premises.
• Order and inventory necessary parts and equipment.
• Create and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Lift and carry up to 50lbs at a time, sometimes frequently throughout the day.
• Bend, reach, walk and be on your feet frequently throughout the day.
• Manage and prioritize your time efficiently, work well with others, and act professionally in front of our guests and vendors.

Job Type

Part-time, 20 hours per week

Pay

$20-25/hour depending on experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Mechanically gifted, with a passion for maintenance and repair.
• Orderly and organized, with the ability to plan ahead, devise efficient processes, document your work, and maintain a neat work environment.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and ability to commute in your own vehicle to multiple locations for on-site repairs.
• Two years experience in an equipment maintenance, electrical, or HVAC/refrigeration position.
