Milbern Ray is a family owned full service CPA firm that has been in business for 50 years, and is located in Southlake. We handle a wide array of complex tax matters and all levels of financial reporting needed. We are currently seeking a full time Accountant with tax experience to join our dynamic team.

What we are looking for:

• Preparing tax return forms 1040, 1120, 1120s, 1065 for clients.

• Experience in preparing multi state tax returns for business clients. 

• Bookkeeping skills to help in preparing Financial Statements for clients that require statements on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.

• Review bank reconciliations (monthly or quarterly), review general ledger transactions, make adjustments as needed, update fixed assets software to assist in the preparation of business tax returns.

• An understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and good communication skills with clients.

• Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve tax advice and assisting client inquiries

• Must be teachable with a positive attitude and be a team player.

• Experience working in a public accounting firm is a plus.

• Experience with CCH Prosystem fx tax and CCH Prosystems fx Engagement accounting programs is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; in Accounting preferred.

• CPA Certification preferred but not required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 

• Overtime hours are required from January 15th to April 15th, with straight overtime paid for the additional hours worked.
