Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Department: Quality Control

Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time

Reports to: Quality Control Manager

Primary Purpose: Perform quality control inspections for electronic components and integrated circuits to identify counterfeit components, design specifications, and industry standard characteristics to prevent defective or potential counterfeit components from reaching the market.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions of a Quality Control Inspector for electronic components and integrated circuits at Chip 1 include:

· Conduct thorough inspections on all parts that pass through the facility to ensure the quality meets customer expectations,

· Follow all Quality Control processes properly performing product inspections, including recording the number of parts received and shipped, and checking parts for quality and accuracy.

· Assist in the development and implementation of procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of inspections, making changes as needed to ensure timely and efficient processing.

· Adhere to established policies and procedures, regulations, and organizing daily tasks to maintain high productivity levels.

· Assist with stock inventory verification to maintain accuracy in records.

· Carry out any other related tasks as required supporting the quality control operations.

The competencies and personal attributes required for a Quality Control Inspector for electronic components and integrated circuits at Chip 1 include:

Computer Skills: Proficient in using various computer applications and able to quickly learn and adapt to new software and technology, including quality control software, inventory management systems, and standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite).

 Diagnostic Information Gathering: The ability to determine, efficiently gather information from relevant sources, and use effective questioning techniques to elicit essential details necessary to understand a situation.

Problem Solving: Exhibit strong judgment, the ability to solve problems effectively, and to make sound, reasoned decisions.

Self-Starter: Demonstrate initiative, the ability to work independently, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Self Confidence: Display confidence in achieved goals, approaches challenging tasks with a proactive, positive attitude.

Thoroughness: Diligently review and verify information accuracy, ensures both personal and team quality of work is precise, maintains an organized work progress system.

Qualifications:

Qualifications for a Quality Control Inspector for Electronic Components and Integrated Circuits at Chip 1:

1-3 years of previous quality control experience, particularly in counterfeit prevention techniques and procedures, is preferred.

2-3 years of previous experience in an electronic component distribution warehouse is preferred.

Proficiency in using Excel, Outlook, and Word programs is required.

Ability to follow Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is required.

Ability to read and understand data sheets, schematics, mechanical drawings, or blueprints is required.

Experience with CRM or inventory management systems is preferred.

Hands-on electrical/electronic workbench testing and troubleshooting skills in an ESD environment are highly desirable.

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Some college is preferred.

The ability to speak, read, and write in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish or Chinese (particularly Mandarin) is an advantage.

Candidates with immediate availability are preferred.

Work Environment:

Work Environment for a Quality Control Inspector at Chip 1:

Laboratory Setting: The primary work environment is within the Quality Control laboratory where inspections, inventory verification, and other quality control tasks are performed.

Warehouse Setting: Alternatively, some work may require task that are performed within a warehouse environment.

Working Hours: Working hours are primarily between 8 and 5, Monday through Friday. On occasion working hours may include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as required by business needs.

Physical Requirements:

The Quality Control inspector may require standing on feet for up to 8 hours a day and may be required to lift materials up to 50 pounds. Physical activities such as stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting may be required occasionally.

Operation of office equipment involving repetitive hand movements and fine motor coordination, including the use of a keyboard, is necessary. The inspection process also requires the use of small tools, chemicals, and fine motor skills.

Must have 20/20 correctable visual capabilities to perform visual inspection duties effectively.
