UForm Detroit Inc is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Detroit, MI

Job Description:

  • Perform electromechanical maintenance, scheduled or not, on equipment and facilities, meeting the programming and / or request of the areas;
  • Provide technical support and perform interventions in Stamping and Bodywork processes, and in the building facilities and utilities of the plant;
  • Perform parameterization of welding processes (Tucker Pin, Resistance Point, Projection and M(MIG / MAG), perform robot programming, PLC, HMI, application system, Free Inverters, Drivers in general, etc.;
  • Perform lubrication activities of the machines, such as oil replacement of geared motors, centralinas, and hydraulic pumps, in addition to the lubrication of chains, linear guides, bearings, etc.
  • Perform installation/replacement of components in the various equipment and facilities of the plant;
  • Perform the fulfillment of the Work Orders of the interventions on the processes, the fulfillment of the maintenance schedules (Machine Ledger, Lubrication Schedule);
  • Propose and carry out improvement in the various processes and facilities of the plant, seeking to reduce losses and increase the Technical Availability of the machines, through the use of WCM tools focused on the PM pillar (EWO, 5Why, 5W 1H, Kaizens, Sketches, 4M, Machine Ledger, etc.).

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Being compliant with health and safety regulations
    • Participate in various levels of internal and external audits.
    • Make continuous improvement efforts through Kaizen's work philosophy to minimize problems and increase solutions regarding the plant equipment and systems.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Education – College Degree or higher required (Technician in Electro electronics / Electrotechnical / Mechanical or Mechatronics / Automation or Mechatronics.)
  • 1-3 years working in Industrial Mechanics
  • Previous experience working with computers, Fanuc Robotics, and in a production environment that demonstrates the ability to learn multiple tasks is preferred.
  • Previous experience working with automotive or other maintenance such as changing hydraulic hoses, fuses, broken wires, etc.
  • Excellent record of attendance (willing to work overtime as needed)
  • Ability to perform visual inspections, mechanical measurements, and calibration verifications (micrometers, calipers, etc.)

Summary:

Perform scheduled or unscheduled electrical/mechanical maintenance on equipment and facilities to prevent or correct anomalies and ensure the correct functioning of the same. This role is a direct report to the on-site Plant/Production Manager. Are you interested in improving safety, performance/preventative maintenance, and providing effective troubleshooting? Do you enjoy handling multiple tasks and working in a team environment? Maintenance Technicians work to produce products to maintain the highest nobility for production. If any issues arise, they will refer to their supervisor with any outstanding inquiries to improve workflow. Skills validation & employee evaluations can be completed every six months to evaluate knowledge and ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
