Position Summary: The Donor Advocacy Specialist is a critical member of the Finance Team at WorldVenture and is responsible for advocating for and supporting our giving partners as they communicate with WorldVenture. Advocacy includes communicating the Global Impact of WorldVenture to a broad audience of giving partners prospective giving partners and churches. The Donor Advocacy Specialist will interact with others through inbound and outbound communication via phone, email, and letter correspondence.
Position Responsibilities:
Agreement with WorldVenture's Statement of faith, Advancement Philosophy of Ministry and the Biblical Foundations of Advancement and Fundraising
With a warm, welcoming, and affectionate attitude, receive all inbound phone calls to WorldVenture
Assist WorldVenture missionaries, giving partners, churches and prospects with financial case related issues like, but not limited too website navigation, financial transactions, account maintenance and problem resolution in a timely manner, with a relational heart and a servant mindset
With a thankful spirit, proactively make outbound calls to WorldVenture giving partners conveying a sense of sincere gratitude so that they are aware of the impact of their generosity and value of their partnership with WorldVenture
Ask inquisitive and insightful questions when in communication with giving partners, prospects and churches so that their unknown needs are met and the partnership is strengthened
Regularly refer giving partners, prospects and churches to the appropriate relationship manager (i.e. VP Partner Ministries, Treasurer, Church Relations Officer, etc.).
Participate in and contribute to the daily life of the Finance team including attending all regularly scheduled prayer calls, meetings, trainings, online community interactions and special events (as needed)
Remain current on all WorldVenture policies and procedures related to the gift processes, receipting, gift acceptance, real estate gift policy, planned giving guidelines.
Record giving partner information, relevant interactions, and track all relationships using Salesforce
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Engaging and excellent communicator orally on the phone or video, as well as in written materials
Forward thinking, creative, outside-the-box thinking
Proficient with IT technologies including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM’s, and Social Media
Personal Qualifications:
Proven commitment to a personal relationship with God and a desire to serve Him in global ministry
Christian character that reflects our values as an organization and dedication to WorldVenture’s ministries
Affirmation of the doctrinal statement, sexual conduct policy, and child safety policy
Demonstrated warmth, empathy, and trustworthiness in relationships
Respect for those from nations and cultures other than their own
Service-oriented attitude toward others
Team player displaying humility and a learner’s attitude
Education and Formal Training:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
Two to four years experience in partner (donor) relations in a non-profit setting preferred; 3-5 external customer service in lieu of non-profit work is an acceptable replacement of experience
Previous cross-cultural ministry experience preferred
Work Environment/Physical Activities:
Ability to move freely and be able to carry up to 30 pounds of mail weight upstairs
