Role Summary:

At O'Connor Family McDonald's, our main objective is to “Serve Feel Good Moments for Everyone, Every time, Everywhere.” As an Area Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading profitable restaurants and ensuring they meet our standards of excellence in Safety, Quality, Friendliness, and Fast.

Your role will involve working collaboratively with General Managers and restaurant teams to set goals and create a plan to achieve them. You will need to empower your teams to produce results and cultivate a culture of “We Care.” This means you will hire and develop your own management teams to ensure you have the right team to lead into the future. Moreover, you will assist the management teams in setting their goals, tracking their progress, and providing coaching, direction, and mentoring your teams to enhance their results.

As an Area Supervisor, you must thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle any issues that may arise. You should not only look for ways to make today better, but is also looking ahead to improve tomorrow and the days after.

This position is vital to the operation of the restaurant as you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Lead the experience: You will be responsible for ensuring that our core standards of Safety, Quality, Friendly, and Fast are upheld within the restaurants under your supervision and leadership. You will need to develop and implement action plans that will drive results.
  • Be results-oriented: You will oversee all operational needs of the restaurant to grow sales and profitability while meeting McDonald's standards of excellence.
  • Plan for success: You will proactively lead and manage all People processes to ensure a healthy talent pipeline for the organization.
  • Be in the know: You will stay up to date with changing procedures and standards in all aspects of the business and clearly communicate with your restaurant teams.
  • Take action first: You will ensure that food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald's standards of excellence.
  • Inspire and Empower: You will grow your restaurant teams by maintaining a high level of standards to deliver an outstanding employee and guest experience within your restaurants.

As a part of this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the performance of each restaurant and adapting plans to achieve the set goals.
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure that proper procedures and policies are being followed at every restaurant. This includes reviewing safety procedures, food safety, cash audits, inventory, and other operational elements of the restaurants.
  • Leading with a "People First" mindset, ensuring employee satisfaction and happiness.
  • Facilitating communication flow to keep the leaders updated on staffing concerns, performance issues, and maintenance requirements.
  • Monitoring employee satisfaction levels and taking corrective action if needed.
  • Regularly holding management meetings to establish clear goals that include employee satisfaction and retention, maintenance issues, and overall restaurant success.
  • Communicating new directives and policies to keep the team informed

As a successful Area Supervisor, you should possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Experience in managing teams and individuals effectively.

  • Proficiency in planning and project management.
  • Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to train and develop staff members.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-driven.
  • Prior experience in McDonald's operations.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Attention to detail.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
