PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle systems design tasks associated with various phases of design and construction administration.
• Interface with the client to develop designs that cost effectively meet client needs.
• Perform required design calculations.
• Write and edit applicable technical specifications.
• Use web-based Project / Construction Management application for correspondence and documentation.
• Develop construction cost estimates.
• Perform follow up duties for bidding and construction phases.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and design experience in technology systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Conduct and document meeting for data gathering and coordination of tasks
• Delegate and monitor owner activities
• Consolidate and extract relevant data for reporting
• Conduct site surveys and document existing conditions of infrastructure and systems 
• Draft reports with existing conditions summary and recommended improvement narrative
• Create ROM estimate for recommended improvements 
• Create detailed budgets
• Conduct and document meeting to develop Design Standards for the clients infrastructure and systems
• Use web-based Project &/ Construction Management application for correspondence and documentation
• Identify and communicate the inter-relations of infrastructure and systems, and identify strategic opportunities that benefit the client 

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS & BEHAVIORS

• BICSI RCDD preferred
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in telecommunications infrastructure design, and/or construction
• Working knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices such as EIA/TIA, BICSI, etc 
• Working knowledge of technology systems including but not limited to:
  • Wired/Wireless Networks
  • PBX Phone Systems
  • Voip Phone Systems
  • Building PA Systems
  • Access Control Systems
  • Video Surveillance Systems
  • Intrusion Detection and Alarm Systems
  • Integrated AV System Equipment
• Ability to create estimates and budgets
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, and prepare clear, well-organized reports.
• Ability to effectively adjust shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
• Highly analytical, detail oriented, persistent, and not afraid to ask questions
• Must be able to work off hours occasionally durations range from a few nights to a few months
• Ability and desire to learn clients' businesses and cultural factors

REQUIRED SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel 
• Google services including Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets and Forms
• Familiarity with Cloud based management software for time tracking project and task management 
• Familiarity with Plan Grid
• Autodesk Revit and/or Autodesk AutoCAD ( a plus) 

• Familiarity with Slack, Asana, Zoom, Ajera
