Ivy League Medical Group (ILMG LLC) is Hiring a Medical Assistant Full-Time Near Voorhees, NJ

Job description
Busy med/surg office has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant. Duties include assisting provider during routine office visits and surgical procedures. We are looking for a team player with excellent patient care skills. Candidate must be able to multi-task, be punctual and reliable.

MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO BOTH VOORHEES, NJ and NORTHFIELD, NJ. Must be willing to be cross trained for front desk responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Proper intake of patient including medical history and identification of chief complaint
  • Accompany provider in room during patient exams and accurately transcribe all medical notes
  • Preparing patients and materials needed for all procedures
  • Assist in procedures
  • Ensure that patient charts and medical records are completely up to date in accordance with policies
  • At the completion of each appointment, schedule patients for follow up appointments
  • Completion of start and end of day tasks to ensure office is prepared for daily clinic including preparing surgery trays, sterilize instruments, stocking rooms with medical supplies and handouts, cleaning rooms and other duties assigned by provider
  • Thoroughly sanitizing rooms after each patient visit
  • Sending medications to appropriate pharmacy prescribed by provider
  • Complete all duties in accordance with HIPAA and other medical regulations
  • Contribute to team effort by cross-training as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required education/training:

  • Completion of medical assistant training program from an accredited school.
  • MA Certification (Certified Medical Assistant)
  • Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association approved)
  • Medical Assistant experience
  • Ability to interact and communicate well as a team and with others, in person or by telephone, including occasional difficult or frustrated patients,
  • Ability to report to work with consistent attendance, prepared to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of common medical terminology

Salary: Based on education and experience
