For our North America Business Development Centre in Somerville (New Jersey), we are currently looking for a:

KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

Key Account Manager supporting the Kdc/one Home Care Division, Global Accounts, reporting to the Director, Business Development. The role will work with external clients to establish Kdc/one as the partner of choice, as well as coordinate with internal cross functional teams to lead and expedite ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

Account management and business development

  • Assist in management of a portfolio of Global Accounts
  • Compliment prospecting and selling efforts by using consultative and relationship building selling techniques to identify current and future supply & product development opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and internal stakeholders to demonstrate Kdc/one capabilities, competitiveness, Global supply chain, market expertise, and innovative solutions
  • Help coordinate and expedite internal and external project management and administrative activities
  • Prepare costing estimates, and create internal Business Opinions
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer requests/issues
  • Establish and monitor performance against key performance indicators, service level agreements requirements, and financial targets
  • Stay informed on external market developments, product relevant legislation, and competitor activity
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Kdc/one Home Care global network of manufacturing capabilities
  • Travel 20-30%

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business or marketing
  • 5 years of B2B sales or account management experience in the CPG industry
  • Project management experience is a must
  • Ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements
  • Extensive understanding of the Home Care consumer product market (Laundry, Home Cleaning, Pest Control) as well as consumer devices in this space is highly preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Technical knowledge in Chemistry or Engineering is preferred
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems are a plus (Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, define, prioritize, and implement action plans according to business opportunities and success factors
  • Diplomatic and assertive. Professional, high standards in personal presentation
  • Excellent English
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and listening skills. Ability to effectively communicate, present and influence credibly with clients and with team members
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage relationships under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously
  • Ability to network and engage the commitment of others
  • Strong service-oriented mindset
  • Troubleshooter, problem solver
