Qualifications:1. Meets Vermont Standards for licensure for Career and Technical Education (5440-17).2. Demonstrates a minimum of two (2) years of recent trade experience, with a total of six (6) years of trade experience leading to a broad base of knowledge and skills in forestry, land management, agriculture, animal science, plant science and business management.3. Successful completion of an approved teacher preparation program or the willingness and ability to complete the requirements of the Vermont Career and Technical Teacher Mentor Program. 4. Holders of a valid Vermont Teaching License for grades 9-12 with a science endorsement (2-13 or 3-13) preferred.Position Summary: The FAWR teacher teaches a Forestry, Agriculture and Water Resources (Natural Resources) program that is a comprehensive Vermont standard based curriculum which incorporates industry skill standards and enables students to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will prepare them to succeed in the post-secondary training and/or a career in the Natural Resources industry.
