USDA ARS Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center is Hiring a Program Support Assistant Near Grand Forks, ND

Position Summary

The mission of the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center (GFHNRC) is to study the roles of foods, food factors, agriculture practices and physical activity on human health, obesity prevention, and maintenance of a healthy body weight.

The GFHRNC is seeking an enthusiastic, highly qualified candidate for a permanent, full-time Program Support Assistant to help us fulfill our mission by providing leadership with the necessary support in the management of business functions in support of local research programs. The selected candidate will work closely with the Administrative Officer, responding to requests that do not require the Administrative Officer’s immediate attention.

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Serving as the initial point-of-contact for all questions, information, or problem resolutions in the areas of office functions, policies and procedures.
  • Providing help and resources for the onboarding of new employees.
  • Preparing and validating time and attendance records.
  • Serving as a Government Purchase Card cardholder and conducting training sessions for all employees on the use of Purchasing Card Management System.
  • Maintaining inventory lists.
  • Creating bills of lading for shipments with freight companies and obtains freight quotes.
  • Serving as the Contracting Officer Representative for services contracts.
  • And more.

GS classification will be dependent on experience.
