Apotho Therapeutics Athol Inc is Hiring a Packaging Associate (Morning Shift) Near Athol, MA

Job Description:
Apotho Therapeutics is a local family-owned Massachusetts based Cannabis Company. We are currently looking for Packaging Associate to work in packaging for our Cultivation Facility in Athol MA. We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking people that are interested in the cannabis industry, and/or cannabis products.

No prior experience/knowledge of cannabis required. No prior packaging experience is required. Weekends preferred.

Position Qualifications:

  • At least 21 Years Of Age
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • High school or equivalent Education (Preferred)
  • Packaging: 1 year (Preferred but Not Required)

Hiring for Either of the Following Shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 7:00pm-3:30pm Monday - Friday (5 days a week)

Department: Packaging and Post-Harvest Processing

Reports to: Packaging Manager and the Production Manager

Exempt/Non-exempt: Non-exempt

Position Overview

The Packaging Associate is responsible for the post-production handling of all manufactured pre-roll, flower and cultivation products/post harvest operations. Duties performed include the weighing, packaging, and labeling of all bulk products from our vendors. The Packaging Associate reports directly to the Inventory Manager and the Wholesale and Procurement Manager.

Essential Job Functions

  • Weighing, measuring, sorting, labeling, and packaging cannabis products such as flower, and pre-rolls for recreational sale (no other product type will be weighed, labeled and packaged)
  • Create and apply labeling in accordance with product information, testing results, and other required information
  • Maintain forms and database to precisely record weight, product count, and any relevant issues for all products
  • Assemble, line, and pack bins for finished product storage and the sales floor
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and place/scoop products into containers
  • Thoroughly clean equipment, containers, materials, supplies, and work areas, using cleaning solutions in accordance with the relevant SOPs
  • Responsible for operating a variety of weighing, batching, and packaging machinery
  • Maintaining quality control by visually inspecting cannabis products and packaging to ensure consistency in product standards; ensuring labeling and product counts are accurate
  • Inventory of cannabis products upon receipt and distribution to and from the department
  • Assisting in the loading, unloading, and inventory of cannabis packaging, supplies and materials
  • Adhering to production schedules
  • Weighing and processing waste material in accordance with state regulations (935 CMR 500.000) and company policies and procedures
  • Cleaning and sanitizing packaging areas
  • Effectively communicate any issues or constructive criticism with product packaging directly to the Wholesale and Procurement and Inventory Manager
  • Assisting in Post Harvest Operations
  • Assisitng in any cultivation operations as designated by the Apotho Therapeutics Management Team

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Fine motor skills and ability to use hands and fingers to precisely and accurately fill, package, and label products
  • Close visual acuity in order to read fine print on product labels and equipment screens

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma required
  • Prior packaging and inventory experience a plus
  • Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work well on a team
  • Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime a plus
  • Must be able to pass an CCC background check
