Behavioral Health Technicians help provide support services to clients receiving substance abuse and/or mental health services. This position requires constant observation and monitoring of client behavior.

Below are just a few items that are expected of this role:

• Running groups and talking to clients while taking daily counseling notes.
• Monitoring patients and recording your observations.
• Reporting back on each patient's progress and concerns.
• Ensuring patients have a safe and supportive environment.
• Providing emotional support to patients.
• Alerting medical professionals to intervene in emergencies.
• Carrying out assessments and other administrative tasks.
• Maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
• Monitoring medication usage and documentation.
• Driving clients in large passenger van to planned activities outside of the facility.

Below is what we look for in our Behavioral Health Technicians:

• Ability to treat patients with dignity and empathy.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Acute observation skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience working in a mental health institution or psychiatric ward a plus but not required.
• This position does have a lot of paid down time and we are willing to provide training to the right individual who is interested in pursuing a career in the Behavioral Health Medical Field.

A good candidate MUST be comfortable working on computers and working in systems/applications including EHR systems. Must be willing and able to learn the process for counseling notes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
