Job Overview:

Due to company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker with a focus on architectural millwork to join our team. The Cabinet Maker is responsible for supporting our vision and strategy. This position supports the shop manager by executing assigned job packets in an accurate, safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Cabinet Making / Architectural Millwork

  • Maintain MR Brewer standards ensuring cabinets are built correctly and re-work is held to a minimum and projects are moving through the process on schedule
  • Job packets are read and understood
  • Install packet is completed accurately and on time with quality control maintained

Inventory:

  • Track and manage inventory

Schedules:

  • Maintain project schedules ensuring communication is clear between Shop Draftsman, Design and Construction with established due dates met
  • All packets are reviewed for accuracy before they hit the shop floor ensuring that drawings and details are meeting company established standards

Equipment/Tools:

  • All tools are maintained according to maintenance schedule
  • Inventory of Tools and parts are maintained with shortages flagged to Shop Manager with material slips are completed daily

Shop:

  • The shop is kept clean and organized
  • All safety protocols are adhered to at all times by all team members

Quality Control

  • All cabinetry and finish millwork is inspected to established standards

Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of the Architectural Millwork and Cabinetry industry and construction project schedules
  • Effective inquiry skills
  • Ability to effectively follow-through on tasks to ensure organizational needs are met
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders clearly and effectively, orally and in writing
  • Effective and pleasant customer orientation skills
  • Ability to sue discretion in handling confidential information
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Visual and hearing skills
  • Effective personal organization with ability to effectively attend to detailed information

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification

  • Valid State of Maine Driver's License

Language Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English with clients and with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to read and analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures
