Position Function/Purpose To be the first responder of all technology issues at assigned campuses and district offices and provide excellent technology support to MISD staff and students. The technician will troubleshoot both hardware and software problems on various devices and expected to interact with district personnel both in-person and remotely to solve a variety of technical issues. | |
essential Functions Instructional Management
Computer Systems 1. Assist school or office personnel in installing various approved hardware and software and provide training in its use. 2. Maintain technology inventory of stationary devices at assigned campuses and district offices. 3. Assist with other Technology department responsibilities as needed. Administration and Fiscal/Facilities Management 1. Perform other duties as may be assigned or as may be necessary by the Technology Support Coordinator. Professional Growth and Development 1. Observe professional and ethical standards in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Texas Education Agency code of ethics. 2. Secure advance training in any new equipment, software being considered for adoption by the district. 3. Read the current literature in the field. | |
