The Paw Wash will be a very busy dog grooming and spa located in the heart of Oxford, CT. We provide top pay in the region as well as a very flexible and accommodating schedule! We firmly believe in having fun at work and keeping a healthy energetic atmosphere!

We are looking for someone who values being treated as part of our family and our love for dogs, not just an employee! We are looking to build our team of Pet Groomers and bathers before our grand opening in September! Our goal is to ensure that every pet leaves looking and feeling their best. The ideal candidate for this position is creative, adaptable and dedicated to making each pet look and feel fantastic while they are in our care. A successful candidate will be able to work independently, but able to engage with the team to collaborate on difficult cases.

Qualifications:

• Experience bathing dogs preferred
• The ideal candidate should be experienced in handling a variety of breeds, comfortable cleaning up after animals and dedicated to customer service.
• Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility
• Bathe and dry dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Be a team player

Experience for Dog bathing:

• Experience with a variety of dog breeds is a huge plus.
• Minimal of 6 months dog bathing/grooming experience is preferred.
• Exceptional Customer Service Skills!
• Cleaning up work area (tubs, grooming tables, vacuum floor, empty trash)
• Physically able to secure and handle large and small breeds!'

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.89 - $17.52 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
