Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our Non-Profit team. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for our guests. As of now LMSA has four scheduled events in need of assistance. The 4th of July, The Taste in Lakeport, The Harvest Festival and The Dickens Festival. We also have a team of helpful volunteers to assist you. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong customer service focus. Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and decor
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event goals and requirements
- Develop event timelines and budgets
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services
- Oversee event setup, including seating arrangements, audiovisual equipment, and signage
- Manage event logistics during the event, including guest registration and coordination of activities
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests throughout the event
- Upsell additional services or upgrades to enhance the event experience
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement

Requirements:
- Previous experience in event planning or hospitality is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and event management software is a plus
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies is desirable
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
