The Staff Accountant will work closely with all revenue departments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare invoices-Create customer invoices based on accounting procedures, and check for errors before sending them out.
- Record payments-Track and record payments received from customers, and ensure they are applied correctly.
- Reconcile accounts- Account for unpaid debts, bad debts, and early payment customers, and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for.
- Resolve discrepancies-Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and verify invoices for appropriate documentation before payment.
- Respond to inquiries- Handle customer inquiries regarding billing issues and provide customer service.
- Generate receivables reports and submit to management on accounts receivable operations as needed.
- Initiate collection actions
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations and analyze the general ledger for various departments.
- Communicates and interacts regularly with operating management and personnel; handles questions, as well as research and performs additional analysis as needed to support business needs.
- Enhances financial reporting and streamlines, refines, and improves the consolidation process to assist management and improve departmental workflow.
- Assists with special projects.
- B.A. or B.S. in Accounting preferred.
- Strong Excel experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous Entertainment and/or Accounts Receivable experience a plus.
- Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously Ability to develop ongoing partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
