Open Table is Hiring a Community Engagement Coordinator Near Woodstock, VA

Job Overview:

The Community Engagement Coordinator will serve as the local lead for the ā€œStrengthening Shenandoah SUD Treatment and Prevention Social Capital Collaborativeā€ project. This is a 3-year grant-funded position. Manages the implementation process locally to include development of local partners, process development, management, and improvement, volunteer recruitment and development, and all documentation, data collection and data entry, and reporting to funders.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the operational success of the initiative.
  • Work and communicate with the Open Table staff and SCPS Staff.
  • Manage a growing collaboration between faith and government organizations, agencies, and other community sectors interested in the initiative.
  • Complete five core trainings:
  • Organization Leader Training will equip the Engagement Coordinator to fully understand the Table launch process and support local organizations in implementing Open Table.
  • Direct Referral Process Training will equip the Engagement Coordinator to fully understand the referral process and support local systems in the referral process.
  • Community Implementation Training will equip the CEC to create and maintain a strong partnership between local systems, licensed organizations, staff making referrals, and other community sectors that can co-invest to meet the needs of the identified service population.
  • Core Table Member Training will equip the CEC to understand how Tables should operate and how to monitor and support fidelity to the model.
  • Network Table Training will equip the CEC to understand how Network Tables function to meet the priority supports of referrals and enable the CEC to support the operation of Network Tables.
  • Work with established community partners to identify possible organizations that might be interested in volunteering to serve on Tables.
  • Upon confirming an organization is ready to partner, assist the organization to:
  • Complete the registration process
  • Complete the process to identify the Organization Leader/Team
  • Gain access to Open Table University and Navigation Team
  • Connect the Organization Leader/Team to the Referral Coordinator
  • Serve as the liaison between the community partners, local systems, and Open Table.
  • Ensure that the model is implemented to fidelity by the volunteers, implementing organizations, and local systems partners.
  • Facilitate the referral process to connect the Friend to the Table.
  • Once Tables are launched, create a Community of Practice among Tables and processes to share best practices and provide support.
  • Provide ongoing support to Tables and work with existing implementing organizations to prepare for additional expansion of Tables.
  • During the first quarter of each Core and Network Table, regularly communicate with individuals matched with Tables to receive feedback.
  • Oversee the process of data collection and outcomes measurement and reporting as determined by the Open Table and local systems partners.
  • Regularly host Open Table explorations for additional and new community partners to share stories of success, expand the model and increase capacity for maximum impact on the identified service population.
  • Participate in Learning Community with Open Table staff and other Community Engagement Coordinators.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the following duties directly with SPCS:
  • Management of the intake and referral process with both the school and court systems
  • Report to and work in-person at the office on Thursdays of each week to be available to the court system
  • Participate in weekly staffing meetings with SPCS (in-person on Fridays)
  • Report to and work in-person at the office a minimum of one additional day per week, for a total of three days per week (Thursday, Friday, and one other day)
  • Attend Family Partnership meetings
  • Other duties as assigned.
