Position Summary:

The purpose of the Director of Business Office manager, facility private pay cash collections and Medicaid pending applications. An emphasis on coaching and training to meet company days sales outstanding goals for Private Pay and MedicaidPending.Essential Functions:

  • Support Business Office Operations, Revenue Cycle, and Resident Trust.
  • Emphasis on Private Pay Cash Collections and provide analysis trends to Senior Regional

Financial Service Consultant.

  • Oversee Medicaid pending process and assist business office managers to ensure timely approvals.
  • Conduct facility visits on various subjects including Private Pay Cash Collections, Medicaid

Pending Applications, CAO relationship building, efficient business processes, etc.

  • Train/instruct Business Office Managers on collection and billing procedures.
  • Lead Private Pay AR Reviews and MAP calls with focus buildings as identified.
  • Perform audits to ensure all policies and procedures are properly implemented and followed.

Report findings to Senior Regional Financial Service Consultant.

  • Work with other divisional and home office support team members.
  • Assist administrator hiring process for various business office positions and coach/train.
  • Analyze and report monthly financial performance to Senior Regional Financial Service

Consultant.

  • Establish and maintain cost reduction measures to support the financial performances of facilities.
  • Increase staff knowledge of various software to maximize efficiencies.
  • Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to develop practical sound practices.
  • Support and assist in development of annual business plans.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in an office environment that has controlled heat and cold. The noise level is moderate to quiet. Travel is required and when traveling incumbent may be exposed to the elements.Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Position requires frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting.
  • Lifting and carrying items weighting up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Education / Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years in long term care business function, up to and including billing/collection, as well as A/P and payroll.
  • Demonstrated success in similar position.
  • Regional experience with business office oversight preferred.
