Join our legal team as a Contract Paralegal/Legal Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive contract and legal support across multiple companies. This dynamic position involves supporting the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting various agreements such as leases, licenses, NDAs, and transactional contracts to ensure their compliance with legal standards and accurately reflecting the parties' intentions.

Proficiency in independently drafting correspondence, contracts, and adeptly leading special projects within our collaborative team setting is a must.

Paralegal/Legal Assistant Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist legal team in all aspects of contract management and administration.
  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Ensure contracts comply with legal requirements and accurately reflect parties' intentions.
  • Conduct legal research to support contract-related matters.
  • Maintain contract databases and filing systems, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Monitor contract deadlines, performance, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage corporate and subsidiary entity organizational charts.
  • Create Corporate Records filing system and maintain same.
  • Prepares all documents required to form and maintain corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
  • Prepares documentation for amendments, withdrawals, mergers and dissolutions of corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues across departments and external vendors or customers, as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support to legal team, such as scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and client/attorney communications.
  • Other general support to legal team members.

Paralegal/Legal Assistant Skills and Qualifications:

  • Independent, self-starter who operates autonomously while being a collaborative team player.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Eager to take initiative in a fast-paced, ever-changing, dynamic environment.
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and business ethics.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Lexis.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and demonstrated follow-through on project management, including ability to anticipate needs through knowledge of past transactions.
  • Exceptional Organization Skills.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

  • Paralegal certificate or associate degree required. Degree or certificate may be replaced with 7 years of experience as a contract administrator, contracts specialist, or paralegal at a law firm.
  • 5 years of experience as a contract administrator, contracts specialist, or paralegal at a law firm required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
