Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature in the EMR
- Administer medications, immunizations and injections as directed by healthcare provider
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Assist with patient education and counseling
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

- Assist Office Manager in preparing and submitting monthly reports to the State

- Prepare monthly vaccine reports of private vaccine stock

- Stocks, cleans and maintains all exam rooms, triage area, lab and medical supply room

- Complete any and all duties as assigned by the healthcare providers, Office Manager and Nurse

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant program certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in computer skills, including electronic health records systems

- Bilingual, English/Spanish

- Experience as Medical Assistant in a Pediatric office setting preferred

- Knowledge of eClinical Works EMR preferred
