We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tier 2 Technician with experience in federal environments to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service. As a Tier 2 Technician, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, resolving complex issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of our clients' IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 2 technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems, escalating to Tier 3 support when necessary.
• Maintain and support Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as other software applications.
• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage solutions.
• Monitor system performance and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal operation.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 support teams to identify and resolve recurring issues.
• Document all support activities and maintain accurate records in the ticketing system.
• Provide on-site and remote support to federal clients as needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal IT security policies and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours support requests.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tier 2 Technician, preferably in a federal environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security , Network , Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Cisco CCNA) are highly desirable.
• Experience with federal IT systems and knowledge of federal IT security requirements.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
