POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Production Technician
DATE: April 2023
ROLE:
Will work closely with the Production Manager and the production team in various responsibilities, as outlined below. Will assist in updating manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, procurement, and inventory control.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Accomplishes various manufacturing processes as designated by Supervisor.
· Proficient working with electronics and other delicate componentry; ability to proficiently solder, splice, check and troubleshoot power system(s) and components – verify voltages, current, resistance via multi-meter, package electronic components and wiring harnesses – required.
· Familiar with working with chemical solvents, urethane, and rubber; ability to proficiently clean and apply urethane potting to electronic and mooring components and systems, cleaning and paint mooring components – Preferred.
· Ability to handle large-scale componentry for ocean mooring systems; ability to assemble, disassemble, package and work with heavy-duty mooring components; knowledge of and ability to work with all hand tools, metal work/machining experience, fork lift and overhead crane experience – Preferred.
· Perform basic trouble shooting and testing, through working knowledge and use of power supplies. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and renderings.
· Assist in preparation for field operations. Gain working knowledge of use ofauxiliary equipment application and usage (launch/recovery, tracking).
· Assist supervisor managing and implementing inventory program.
· Assist supervisor with procurement process, quoting, and project budgeting.
· Assist as needed in shipping and receiving.
· Assist in preparation of SOPs and project flow descriptors.
· Willing to obtain and maintain appropriate certifications, training and licenses. This includes vehicles and other equipment used in the manufacturing or production processes and procedures.
· Ability to go to sea occasionally, and to obtain (at EOM’s expense) the appropriate safety certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of one year of relevant experience in production and assembly. Experience with warehouse and heavy equipment operation. Technical or engineering higher education preferred. Must have a driver’s license.
STATUS:
This job is classified as a full-time position, contingent on a successful 90 day evaluation/probationary period.
