The Brand
World Upside Down Arts Studio (WUDAS) is a one-stop shop for arts education offering classes in music, visual arts, dance, and theater for children, youth, and adults in Greenville County, SC. We’re in the start-up phase getting ready to launch in a couple of months.
History
World Upside Down (WUD) was founded as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in 2013 with a mission to make arts education accessible and affordable to students K-12 around the world. WUDAS builds upon the WUD brand and mission as a for-profit venture, owned and operated by Joanna and Jairo Puello.
Founder and Owners
Joanna Puello, WUDAS Founder and Director, has 25 years of experience as an educator, nonprofit founder and director, instructional designer, and project manager. She plays the piano and violin and has participated as an actress and director in multiple theater productions. Jairo Puello, WUDAS owner and advisor, has 25 years of experience as an educator, nonprofit director, sales and customer service manager, and small business owner as an INDIE music artist. Their combined expertise and passion make them the perfect team for this new venture.
Mission
We believe that arts education is the best tool we can use to change the world for good--to give people a hope and a future. Although we do not have a Christian or religious curriculum, we aim to share the mind and heart of Jesus through every class we teach. If this mission is something that makes your heart beat faster, we would love for you to apply for an opportunity to join our team.

Consultant chooses hours
We anticipate 2-10 hours a week of consulting - the most urgent need for June-July is getting ready to open in August. We do not expect the BCBA consultant to do the business work but to provide a to-do list for the owners so they can do the work and report back to the BCBA to ensure that they are in compliance so that Medicaid can be billed for therapy services.
