Job Summary:

We're on the lookout for a skilled and seasoned Electrical Engineer with 3-4 years of pertinent experience to become a part of our team. This role is perfect for you if you are seeking the creative and dynamic environment of a startup, but still need the stability and security of full-time indefinite contract. What you will be doing:

  • this role, you'll be instrumental in establishing the electrical framework of our client's startup venture.
  • main focus will revolve around identifying requisite resources, evaluating costs (inclusive of software and hardware), and crafting innovative strategies to procure these resources in a cost-efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

Resource Identification and Cost Assessment:

  • Identify the software and hardware resources required for our client’s projects.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the costs associated with acquiring these resources.

Business-Minded Approach:

  • Develop and implement creative strategies to secure necessary resources within budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.

Engineering Design:

  • Design an AC to DC converter specifically tailored for renewable energy applications in ocean environments.
  • Ensure that the converter meets the power requirements for powering small sensors and embedded devices.

Project Management:

  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets effectively.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical engineering technology and renewable energy solutions.
  • Implement improvements and optimizations to enhance the efficiency and performance of our electrical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in renewable energy or related industries.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze costs and devise creative resource acquisition strategies.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and tool such as Altium, EAGLE and Multisim
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with AC to DC conversion and strong knowledge in power electronics design.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
