Santa Barbara Fish Market is Hiring an Assistant Floor Manager Near Santa Barbara, CA
The Santa Barbara Fish Market has been providing the community with fresh local seafood for over 20 years. Our mission is to provide the best, direct outlet for Santa Barbara seafood to seafood lovers, chefs, and restaurants. We are all about excellence, and we expect nothing less from our team. We are looking for a strong candidate to help manage Saturday operations at our wholesale facility. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a warehouse and/or wholesale setting and in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple sets of teams (delivery drivers and onsite facility workers). This person must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand on their feet for multiple hours.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in directing operations
- Removes fish from cooler / freezer and directs the fish cutters on the floor
- Creates sales orders in Net Yield (our software system) and prints them out
- Fills out cutsheets (i.e. weight and species of fish)
- Creates reports
- Assists production
- Reweighs trays
- Organizes coolers
- Checks voicemails, manager phone, and emails for customer orders
- Checks off opening and closing checklists
Plus:
- Experience working in the food and/or hospitality industry
- Customer service experience
- Fish/seafood knowledge
- Bilingual (Spanish)
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
Shift:
- Saturday’s from 6:00AM-2:30PM
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Weekends only
