Tri-State Rigging LLC is Hiring a Crane Operator Near Lexington, KY

Description

Indiana based crane service company is looking for qualified applicants to provide award winning mobile crane service to our customers in the Lexington, KY area and beyond. 

Job Description

The Crane Operator is responsible for operating a mobile crane to lift, move, and position loads. Operators must comply with federal vehicle inspections and meet OSHA guidelines. The operator ensures loads are safely attached to crane before making a lift. The individual must also have a CCO and a CDL Class A license at a minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Operates various types of cranes, equipment and trucks as well as performing rigging tasks.
  • Drives crane to work sites and properly sets up the crane to perform job requirements of customer;
  • Participate in routine maintenance and cleaning to keep equipment in great condition;
  • Must wears proper personal protective equipment and follow OSHA, ANSI, and Company standards at all times;
  • Complete a JSA and pre/post crane inspection on every job as well as critical lift plans as required.
  • Understands and can properly fill out job ticket for customer to accept responsibility for jobsite and billing purposes;
  • Accurately log daily work and job hours.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential:

  • Knowledgeable in OSHA and ANSI standards in crane and rigging operations;
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language;
  • Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.

Desired:

  • Candidates with 3 years previous experience operating mobile cranes;
  • Candidates that are certified riggers with 3 years previous experience rigging;
  • Candidates with 3 years hauling counterweights;
  • Candidates with proficient oral and written communication skills, technical skills, and functional skills.

Physical Demands

As a result, this job requires the employee to sit, climb, stand, push/pull, kneel, twist and bend in a varied environment and to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the tasks.

Work Environment

The employee may be required to wear appropriate PPE equipment. The employee could occasionally be exposed to extreme temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.
