Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Shelter Advocate to join our team. As a Shelter Advocate, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals in need within our shelter facility. We are an equal opportunity employer
Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to shelter residents
- Supervise activities within the shelter, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Answer 24 Hour Crisis Lines and monitor shelter security
- Some housekeeping and facility maintenance
- Documentation
- Skills:
- Good communication skills
- Non-judgemental attitude
- Team player
- Bilingual a plus but not required
- Ability to multi-task
