Job Description: Inventory Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Manager to oversee our team of Inventory Associates. The ideal candidate will have strong management and organizational skills, be self-motivated, and be an initiator. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and generating custom reports to inform inventory purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Inventory Associates to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management processes.
• Enter incoming purchase orders into Shopify software.
• Use Excel spreadsheets to format product information and generate necessary reports.
• Oversee and manage inventory levels, ensuring consistency between physical stock and inventory software records.
• Make necessary corrections in inventory software to reflect the correct level of inventory owned in the store.
• Contact brand representatives via email or phone call to request information regarding outstanding purchase orders or product information.
• Generate custom reports to assess sales performance and determine reorder needs.
• Produce backstock reports to manage excess inventory effectively.
• Receive and process inventory upon arrival, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Match invoices to packing slips to verify the agreed-upon cost and resolve discrepancies.
• Discuss and address cost increases if there has been an increase in the amount charged for a product.
• Resolve any problems that arise after the products are received at the store, ensuring smooth inventory operations.

Requirements:

• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with Shopify and inventory management software.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of initiating and implementing process improvements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
