Southern Food Co: SERVER (weekends required)

We are looking for a few servers to join our team! The position will be part-time starting out. We are looking for people available for dinner shifts Tuesday-Saturday and the occasional brunch shift on Saturdays and Sundays. More hours will be available towards the end of July into August.

Reports To: General Manager, MOD
Key Relationships: Service Staff, Barista, Utilities

Time & Pay: Part-Time to Full Time, Weekends Required, [Tipped Position] $2.63/hour Server Base Pay

Time and Attendance

• Clock in and out for each scheduled shift.
• Arrive on-time and “floor-ready” for your shifts as per the SFC Employee Manual.

Service and Guest Experience

• Maintain an understanding of the proper steps of service. Consistently execute them with efficiency while maintain a sense of urgency throughout service.
• Ensure constant, proper communication with all service staff, members of management, and the kitchen during service.
• Accurately identify table numbers and seat positions
• Exhibit an understanding/awareness of the pace and speed of service at all times.
• Provide support to all servers/utilities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health standards

Menu Knowledge and Continued Education

• Stay up to date on changes to Happy Hour, Dinner, Cocktail and Wine menus
• Attend and participate in line up
• Participate and display understanding of menus through quizzing

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $2.63 - $8.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
